The Notary and signer meet remotely from different locations using audio-visual communication technology, and the notarization is typically performed remotely using electronic signatures and records Please note that California does not currently allow CA certified Notaries Public to perform RON, however, this could potentially change and we plan to be ready to provide this option if passed. However, feel free to research these established RON signing platforms and agents.

In-Person Electronic Notarizations (IPEN)
The signer signs a paper document while communicating live with the Notary online. The signer may be required to sign an attached document that serves as a declaration under penalty of perjury stating that they signed the document and physically send it to the Notary for notarization.
